So today was the second and final day of the actual bar exam. OMG it was the hardest test I have ever taken in my entire life. The testing conditions were brutal. We weren't allowed to have anything with us, were checked by security before entering the room, and once in we couldn't leave until we finished that portion of the exam. I wish I could of had a camera so I could show everyone the scene. It was in the convention center and there were over 3000 people sitting for the exam. Supposedly about 800 aren't going to pass it the first time (I sure hope that I am not part of that statistic). There were people from wall to wall with rows of wooden folding tables, two people to each table, and metal folding chairs - they had cushions on them thank goodness. The test started promptly at 9am and each section was 3 hours per section. The first was three essay questions, luckily they were on the subjects that I was hoping for...Contracts, Family Law, and Florida Constitutional Law (SWEET!!!). The second session on the first day was Florida Law multiple choice questions on procedure, wills, and business organizations (blech) the questions were so much harder than the practice ones I had been doing, mostly because of how poorly drafted they are. Luckily last night Nick drove all the way to Tampa just to eat dinner and spend the evening with me. We had a lovely night. We ordered Ruth Chris take out (we shared a steak in the hotel room) watched a little TV and we were in bed by 9 so I could be well rested for today. Today was the MBE portion of the exam which is the multi state portion which again is two 3 hour sessions but this time it tests 6 subjects in 200 total multiple choice questions. It was really hard and I honestly have no idea if I passed or failed since the scaled score depends on the curve so it is relational to how well everyone else did. I am glad for it to be over and really hope I never have to do it again. Nick and I had a nice relaxing dinner tonight and he is going to finish up some work while I go pack for our trip. Our flight leaves at 6:15 tomorrow morning so we have to be out of the house by 4:30am (ouch). I have already checked in and am so excited, we both really are looking forward to some relaxation and time off. Well I better stop chatting otherwise we will be going to Phoenix with just the clothes on our backs. ;-)
