Our trip to Arizona was awesome. We saw a lot more then I thought we would in the six days that we were there. We went to
Sedona and ate at the
Javelina Cantina and then drove through the mountain pine forests of
Coccino National Park. Then the next day we had a get together at Eric and Merry's house which was a blast, the only thing missing was our cousin who couldn't make it because one of her little ones was sick =(...but she is feeling better now, so that is what is important. Then on Sunday Nick and I drove to the Grand Canyon. On our way we stopped by
Montezuma's Castle and ate at a little brewery in Flagstaff. Then it was another 70 miles to the canyon which is in the middle of no where and you would never even know that something that amazing was right beyond the trees when we arrived. It was the craziest thing I have ever seen. I can just imagine what the settlers must have thought when they approached this gigantic hole which is completely unexpected from the rest of the scenery around. It was truly awe inspiring. The drive back was long but fun Nick and I talked and played a game so the time would go by a bit faster. The next day we went to visit with Uncle Tom and Aunt Nancy at their house which is near camel back mountain (I didn't quite see the camel but who am I to
criticize, I think it may have been the angle). We went to a restaurant which was pretty tasty and had huge portions and after we had a delicious Marie
Calender's fresh peach pie (
mmmm, it was
sooooo good). After dinner we "watched" our
niece Kaleigh (she was already put down for the night) so that mom and dad could have a night out together and then we left the next day. I really liked it out there and wouldn't mind moving there. We have talked about it but I don't know if we can do it at this very moment but maybe eventually. So now I have to go study for the
MPRE which is tomorrow and then work starts on Monday (yippee). Here are a few pictures from our trip...
